Eliza Andrews

PT, WCS, CIDN

Eliza loves being a Physical Therapist and thinks of her job as a “puzzle solver”, helping her patients find the cause of their problem so their treatment is creative and thorough . Her career started over 25 years ago as an Athletic Trainer before she graduated from Marquette University with her PT degree. Eliza found her specialty early, discovering that many patients improved more quickly when their treatment included more than just exercises and massage. She began including lifestyle management, nutrition, and emotional support in her practice– and immediately saw people who had struggled to get better begin to heal. In 2009, Eliza was one of the first physical therapists in the nation to earn the designation of Women’s Health Clinical Specialist, demonstrating her expertise is treatment related to gender-specific issues. She has received awards and recognition for her specialty in pelvic pain and incontinence treatment of both men and women. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Wisconsin Physical therapy Association, International Pelvic Pain Society, International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH), and many other professional organizations.

Eliza and her husband, Derek, are the parents of five active young adults, and are enjoying being new grandparents. In her spare time she enjoys doing DIY remodeling projects around their home, re-purposing old furniture, volunteering, and reading.

Gina Marquardt

PTA

I grew up in Milwaukee, WI, before moving to Green Bay, where I achieved my associate’s
degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. I grew up with a heavy background in basketball, softball, and track where I played for both school and club/travel teams. Due to my athletic background, I experienced multiple injuries which now helps me sympathize with many of my patients.

When working with patients I believe that it is important to educate them not only on their diagnosis, but also the correct way to treat and furthermore prevent future symptoms. Our body works as a chain, and if one link is affected it can also affect additional structures. I strive to help people get to the root cause of your pain utilizing IASTM, stretching, and functional strengthening.

Working at Inspirit Therapy has allowed me to make a positive impact on my patients and their community. I enjoy being my patient’s biggest cheerleader and leading them through their healing process to help them get back to their pain free active lifestyles.

What is Gina Watching, Reading, or Listening to?

Be still, meditate, relax, restore, and rejuvenate with Reiki.

Reiki, with its roots in Japanese origin, is a technique that is light touch hands-on or hands-off slightly above the body. Reiki works to activate and balance the 7 main energy centers (chakras) of the body. The chakras are the spinning vortexes of energy through which our mind, body, and spirit interact as one holistic system. A session occurs in a private room with the client resting fully clothed on a massage table. Lights are dimmed, soft music is playing, and blankets are available for temperature comfort.

The power of Reiki is now available to you!

Location: Inspirit Wellness Center, 3852 Creamery Road, De Pere

Sessions: 60 minutes – $60. Accepting Cash or Venmo payments.

Dia Zent, YT200

Dia is passionate for healthy living, wellness and fitness. Always interested in the sciences, especially anatomy and physiology, she graduated with a degree in Dental Hygiene from Marquette University and practiced for many years while her kids were young; returning to fitness throughout the years by teaching classes and advancing certifications in many areas including yoga, Pilates, women’s weight training, core strength, and most recently, Functional Aging Specialist.

Dia feels her role in teaching others is to meet a participant (client) where he or she is in their wellness and fitness journey. That is equally as important as the end result….a great result for someone else. Including the anatomy of the body into teaching where she can, her goal is to showcase how remarkable and capable the body truly is. That understanding can lead to a better appreciation of the importance of wellness. Through the practice of yoga, the principles of Pilates, the foundations of stability, mobility, agility and strength, we can work to maintain the functionality of our movement through our ever-changing timeline. It is important to advocate for well-aging.

Dia is very excited to work with Inspirit Therapy and Wellness and the team of wonderful people that bring wellness to the forefront. When she is not working with others on their goals, she is working on her own yoga practice and core and strength training. Dia is married to Steve and mom to 3 adults, Chandler, Bella and Elliot.

Kari VanLanen

OTR

Kari has been an Occupational Therapist (OTR) since 2005.

During that time, she’s worked in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation, specializing in working with patients through coma recovery and brain injury. She transitioned to home health/mental health for many years before moving to Northwest Journey Day Treatment Clinic. There, she taught 8-18 year olds basic life skills, community reintegration, and therapeutic exercise/ activities with the goal to be able to return to the regular education population. Her most recent position is within the Howard-Suamico School District working as a Counseling Interventionist where she bridges the gap between counseling and behavior services, working with students who have difficulty managing within the classroom environment due to focus/attention deficits or emotional regulation needs. She recently became a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through NASM and also became a Certified Trauma Professional.

Kari’s focus has always been on an Holistic approach to health care while addressing how the brain works and how to incorporate the use of therapeutic activities and exercise into self regulation for both physical and mental health needs. Kari believes that too often we “Bandaid” over our emotional needs without digging deeper into the core/root cause and that leads to improper healing both physically and mentally. Kari found Inspirit and knew it was exactly where she was meant to be to continue to work together and help our Community with their healing efforts.

What is she currently watching, reading, listening to?

Kari enjoys time spent with her husband and 2 teenage children.. Kari and her family love to camp, hike, travel, visit Disney and explore outdoors as much as possible. She is currently reading most books by Freida McFadden for leisure, Brianna Wiest for Personal Development and listening to a wide variety of music!
