Physical Therapist
I grew up in the Northwoods of rural Pembine, WI where I graduated from a class of 13 students. After graduation, I moved to La Crosse, WI where I spent the next 7 years pursuing my undergraduate degree in exercise sports sciences followed by by doctoral degree in physical therapy. After completing my physical therapy degree, I decided to also pursue a 13-month residency in Women’s Health Physical Therapy to become a specialist in this area. During residency, I became pregnant with my daughter Kinnli, and my husband and I decided to move back home to the Green Bay Area to be by family. That is when I was connected with Inspirit Therapy Associates and the opportunity to develop a Pregnancy and Postpartum Physical Therapy program – and I have happily been here since.
During my second year of PT school, I had the opportunity to travel to Portland, OR where I completed the APTA level 1 Pelvic Floor training. This opportunity allowed me to participate in a 12 week clinical internship in pelvic and women’s health in my third year of school. After graduation, I knew I wanted to pursue a career as a pelvic health specialist but wanted more training and experience so I applied to the M Health Fairview Women’s Health Physical Therapy Residency Program in Minneapolis, MN. This 13 month program gave me opportunities for mentorship, additional education, and community involvement in addition to working full time as a pelvic health therapist during my first year out of school. During this time, I fell in love with the pregnant and postpartum population and continued to take more courses in this topic. Now I am working for Inspirit where I see about 50% pregnant and postpartum clients and enjoy assisting in our wellness side building our prenatal and postnatal yoga and fitness programs.
My Core Values Are: Honesty
Hard Work, Perseverance
“The person you will be in 5 years is based on the books you read and the people you surround yourself with today.”
I see all types of patients in physical therapy such as neurological and orthopedic, but I specifically specialize in Women’s Health and Pelvic Health Physical Therapy. I also have a sub specialty in pregnancy and postpartum rehabilitation.
Informed Consent – a passion of mine is making sure every patient I see is fully informed when it comes to their medical treatment options. Especially working with pregnant and postpartum women, it is very important to me that all my patients feel heard and that I can be supportive of their unique wants, needs, and goals.
I enjoy treating all conditions, but my favorites include: Pregnancy and Postpartum Pelvic Pain – Painful Intercourse Bowel and Bladder Health Osteoporosis Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s
I find pelvic health physical therapy to be so rewarding, because when patients are struggling with incontinence, painful intercourse, bowel issues, fertility issues, etc. It can be life-changing to help them get better. One of the biggest perks to my job is treating women during their pregnancy and then seeing them and meeting their little one when she comes in postpartum.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband works from home, and I stay at home part time taking care of my 1 year old daughter. When we are not working, we love taking road trips – especially out west as the mountains hold a special place in my heart. We are avid hikers and love going places that are dog friendly so we can bring along our 2 border collies who are more like children.
