Chronic Pain

What Is Chronic Pain?

Chronic pain is pain lasting longer than 6 months. Common sources of chronic pain include injuries, headaches, joints, and inflammation. Chronic pain is often caused by trauma or infection but even people without a history of these events can suffer its effects.

What Kind Of Symptoms May I Feel?

  • Pain that is sporadic or continuous
  • Pain can range from mild to extreme
  • Feelings of stiffness, tightness, or soreness
  • Pain that just won't go away

How Can Inspirit Help Me?

When you're in pain, nothing seems right. You miss out on your favorite activities. Your sleep is affected, and you are constantly tired. You may miss work and be unable to earn a living or to provide for your family. At Inspirit Therapy Associates, we offer hands-on methods to relieve your pain, increase your energy, and improve your function as fast as possible. Faster pain relief means fewer visits. It also means getting back to your job, your family—your life—faster. Some of the diagnoses we treat include chronic back and neck pain, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, foot pain, shoulder pain, headaches, TMJ dysfunction, and post-sugery pain.

To help you get back to your active life, we offer treatment methods such as craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, strain-counterstrain, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation for pain control. We also offer therapeutic exercises for strength, range of motion, and mobility. Biofeedback is used to improve muscular control and posture and improve pasrasympathetic response to pain. We will design a personal exercise program which may include yoga, Pilates, and the therapy ball to help alleviate your pain.

Our therapists have vast expertise and experience in pain relief and rehabilitation for all kinds of chronic pain and fatigue. Patients come to us with a variety of conditions ranging from chronic pain diagnoses, work-related injury, and car accident-related injuries. We even accept difficult cases from other therapists and specialists.

At Inspirit Therapy Associates, we have helped many people with chronic pain diagnoses. There's an excellent chance we can help you, too. Contact us today.
